Cornhole Board Construction Question..need Tips To Easily And Accurately Cut The Holes In The Board?
Supposed to cut a 6 inch round hole, but the only hole saws I’ve found at tool stores max out at 4in (maybe 5). What’s the best way to get a nice round hole. I’ve tried using a jigsaw and a sander but I know it can be better. Thanks for the help!
For those that are immature or just don’t know, cornhole is a game popular in Ohio and areas around it. You have two boards with a hole cut in each and two teams of two take turns throwing bags filled with corn onto the boards and, hopefully for more points, into the hole. It’s like horseshoes but no one gets a broken ankle!
It’s actually pretty addicting, plus when you build your own, you can customize it. There’s huge cornhole tournaments all around Ohio.

My Brothers have been making them for a little while now and what they use is a router to be able to get the holes the size they need. They make regular size boards and also smaller living room size boards and the holes come out perfect every time. Just drill a good size hole in the middle of you circle and start from there and work your way out.
Seriously, I dunno, dude, I’m from Ohio and I haven’t been immature since before you were probably even born. I have never heard of a cornhole contest, ever.
How long has this been going on? Is this something new? Are you sure this isn’t something from Kentucky or West Virginia?
What part of Ohio are you from? There were never cornhole contests in my neighborhood. When we were kids, we’d throw handfuls of dry corn at the neighbors’ windows around Halloween, but no cornhole tournaments.
